Yet Another Great Quote

Yes, I know I've been posting too many of these lately, but there have been some fairly big recent changes to my work load and time is at a premium. The worst part about not having time for substantial blogging lately is that I have to sit and watch helplessly as the traffic slowly dwindles. Hopefully things will settle down soon and I can get back to a more normal schedule.

Now that I've said what needed to be said, I present to you a quote that is, in my humble opinion, the greatest thing ever said about homeopathy:

That stuff is dangerous. I knew this guy one time, he was going to a
homeopath and he carelessly drank a glass of distilled water. Nearly
died from an overdose... of everything.
Kinda says it all, doesn't it?

That's hilarious, I'll have to remember it

Great quote. Where'd you get it from?

It came from a lady on talk.origins when someone showed up claiming that homeopathy isn't a load of crap and we all sorta jumped on him. She claims to have stolen it from Stephen Wright, but you'll have to take her word for it.

So the more dilute, the more powerful? What, pray tell, is the impact of all those septic-system effluents, all those sewage discharges, that eventually reach the oceans?

Great quote. Reminds me of another one about putting a drop of medicine into one side of the ocean and taking a sip from the other side.

However, defenders of homeopathy could complain that such jokes are strawmen since homeopathy claims to work not because of the dilution itself, but because of the shaking of the "solution" during each dilution (some nonsense about residual vibrations from the medicine's molecules).

Fantastic quote!

One quick question: how come you're not on the Atheist Blogroll? :-)

I was back at the beginning... apparently I've been cut for some reason. I've meant to email and find out about that, but I seem to keep forgetting to do so.
